In Intertwined, two flower stems cross and bend towards one another, while a row of wavy leaves point upwards along the bottom of the composition. Pink petals and nebulous, thin filaments radiate from blue centers that appear like mysterious portals, while the flowers’ pointed edges emulate the stars that glimmer across the dark night sky. A cosmic undertone pulses through the image, laden with an ambiguity that gives way to limitless interpretation. As with other works by Caris Reid, viewers are invited to commune with the subconscious. For this limited edition series, the artist will create unique color combinations by hand painting over the stem and leaves on each print.

This marks ART FOR CHANGE’s second partnership with When We All Vote, a non-profit organization whose mission is to increase participation in every election and to close the race and age voting gap. In conjunction with the online exhibition, ART FOR CHANGE will donate five percent of the unframed purchase price of sales through December 1st, with a $10,000 minimum commitment, to support When We All Vote’s mission to increase voter participation in this crucial election year.
