ANNOUNCING TWO NEW HAND-EMBELLISHED

NIKKI MALOOF EDITIONS

Celebrating the arrival of Spring next week

ART FOR CHANGE is thrilled to partner with artist Nikki Maloof on two new limited-edition prints, available March 18, celebrating the first day of spring and honoring Women’s History Month. This partnership marks our third collaboration with Maloof.

“Climbing Rose” and “Rose” are part of an ongoing series in which Maloof explores life cycle motifs through depictions of plants and trees. By doing so, she invites viewers to reflect on time and humanity’s complex relationship with it. As she explains, “The garden is a place where I find lots of inspiration. It is a constantly changing place, with things growing, dying, being born, and eaten. There is beauty, and there is darkness.” For these limited-edition pieces, Maloof will hand-embellish ten prints by rendering and collaging additional garden creatures.

In alignment with these themes of growth and renewal, a portion of the proceeds will directly support vital reforestation efforts—an essential initiative for protecting our planet and empowering local communities. By restoring forests, we not only safeguard the environment but also strengthen community resilience. At ART FOR CHANGE, we believe fine art and social impact go hand in hand, and we remain committed to offering collectors meaningful works that contribute to a more sustainable future.

ABOUT NIKKI MALOOF

image0 (2)

Nikki Maloof, (b.1985, Peoria, IL) lives and works in South Hadley, MA. Jungle animals and exotic vegetation appear frequently in Maloof's drawings, paintings and collages. Often surrounded by luminous tropical hues, tigers, monkeys and bats can seem either benign or sinister, reticent or theatrical, and adopt an anthropomorphic quality that discloses a sense of the artist's compassion for her subject matter. In other works, the same lightness of hand with paint, color and line, hints at the somber and dejected aspects of the domestic and quotidian - drooping flowers, in a vase or overcome by rain, and the view, from a distance, of the warmly lit interiors of people's homes through window panes. Maloof's works tend toward the familiar yet maintain a level of un-specifiable strangeness that produces their emotive quality.
