ANNOUNCING TWO NEW HAND-EMBELLISHED EDITIONS BY JAMMIE HOLMES
Each print hand-embellished with gold leaf

ART FOR CHANGE is thrilled to partner with artist Jammie Holmes on two new limited edition prints, available September 30th. This is our first collaboration with Jammie Holmes.

Toast offers a tightly cropped view of three figures, two of whom pour champagne into fluted glasses while a humbly dressed companion eats cake made up of layers in the Pan-African colors of red, green, and black. Tyson, a regal portrait of Holmes’s doberman pinscher, captures the namesake dog in an honest, humanizing way.

Jammie Holmes notes  “My work is about bringing everyday people—especially those from my culture—into the future. I want my paintings to reflect what life really looks like now so that, in the future, people can see who we were. I’m not just painting portraits; I’m painting emotion, humanity, and presence. Much of my work isn’t meant to be seen, so much as felt.”

As part of ART FOR CHANGE’s ongoing commitment to environmental stewardship and meaningful giving, we will plant 10 trees for each artwork sold. By restoring forests,
we not only safeguard the environment but also strengthen community resilience. At ART FOR CHANGE, we believe fine art and social impact go hand in hand, and
we remain committed to offering collectors meaningful works that contribute
to a more sustainable future.

ABOUT JAMMIE HOLMES

Throughout his intimate, intuitive paintings, Jammie Holmes presents poignant scenes of Black communities and traditions in the American South. Born in Thibodaux, LA and based in Dallas, TX, the self-taught artist draws on personal memory to capture moments of both celebration and struggle. Incorporating portraiture, symbolism, and written text into his work, Holmes intersperses reflections on social, cultural, and political concerns with meditations on notions of family, home, and Blackness.
