Madeleine Bialke, All Lightlike Paths, 2025; Original Work
Born in New York and based in London, Bialke has presented solo exhibitions at the Nemeth Art Center, Park Rapids, MN; Huxley-Parlour Gallery, London, United Kingdom; Newchild Gallery, Antwerp, Belgium, and Seoul, Korea; Steve Turner Gallery, Los Angeles, CA; and Deanna Evans Projects, New York, NY; among others. The artist’s works are additionally in the collections of the X Museum, Shanghai, China; Zuzeum Art Centre, Riva, Latvia; and the Beth Rudin DeWoody Collection, West Palm Beach, Florida.
Madeleine Bialke is known for her ethereal landscapes that glow with luminescent color, depicting otherworldly trees and plants with organic curvatures that evoke the human body. Her original works were inspired by visits to California’s dwindling Sequoia forests and her experiences along the California coast. Using over-saturated, almost unnatural hues, Bialke’s work reflects the current climate crisis, casting nature as a mysterious entity imbued with latent emotions.
