Kour Pour

Los Angeles based artist Kour Pour (b. 1987, UK) has quickly developed a reputation for meticulously composed and delicately rendered artworks that intersect diverse material and aesthetic traditions to explore the products of cultural exchange. Fostering forms and techniques from numerous cultures and time periods, Kour Pour’s truly global vision weaves together representational imagery, abstract patterning, and ornamental elements to create new hybrid artworks—equally ancient, classical, and contemporary—a constellation of influences from Iran, the UK, USA, India, and China, among others.

Pour received his BFA at Otis College of Art and Design in Los Angeles. He has exhibited extensively in solo and group exhibitions across the United States and internationally. Currently, Pour's work can be seen at the Orlando Museum of Art in an exhibition titled "A Boundless Drop to a Boundless Ocean."
