Colors of the Fourth
Happy Fourth of July! From 1777 to 1960, the United States created 27 different versions of the official United States flag. The flag widely recognized today was last amended in 1960 to include an additional star, representative of the state of Hawaii, bringing the official state and star count to 50. Throughout those 183 years, the flag’s signature red, white, and blue colors stayed consistent. Here’s to our 248th Independence Day!
